Once just an observer, Sam found his love for gardening while assisting a tree surgeon many years ago.
Inspired by the artistry of nature, he cultivated his passion over five years, eventually branching out to establish his own flourishing gardening company, Zen Gardens.Armed with only a broom and a rake in his early days, Sam's dedication grew alongside his business, transforming a small car into several vans and a well established team.
Now a well-seasoned gardening professional with 14 years of experience, Sam’s passion continues to bloom, and has taken an interest in the landscaping sector of gardening, while his employees train in aspects such as garden design, hard landscaping and conservational irrigation systems. Sam is continuously learning, namely plant species, but also the processes in nature that help him to provide a premium service and offer a high level of knowledge to his clients.

Sam was kind enough to source replacements, remove the dead plants and replant new with experience and expertise… all done with a cheery smile and utter professionalism. I am very fortunate to have lived in the same house in Hampstead Village for a large number of years now. The garden was too difficult for me to manage on my own so we had to get a gardener. With so many gardens in the vicinity the competition was fierce. I found out that some “gardeners” have very little horticultural knowledge or experience. Samuel of Zen Garden Design & Maintenance is far from that category. His knowledge and love of plants, including trees, is extensive.
